“Verregend, op een miezerigen morgen, Domweg gelukkig, in de Dapperstraat.”
- J. C. Bloem
Juxtaposition:
A Narrative on Art
In Juxtaposition, I discuss one of the less discussed themes in art throughout the times and disciplines. Through examples from the works by J. C. Bloem, Haruki Murakami, Lewis Carrol and Andy Goldsworthy, the presence of the collocation of contrasting concepts is laid out and discussed. By focusing specifically on disciplines outside the visual arts, an unexpected viewpoint is given to this work. The discussed works can be found below. Full paper available on request.
