A Cry for Help

Plants can emit and perceive sound. Humans and animals use sound vibrations for signalling. However, literature does not show a lot of interest for the combination of these topics yet. This led to the question on which A Cry for Help is based:

Do the sound vibrations produced by plants fulfill a role as social cognitive mechanism?
