Sorting Steve

Steve is simple. Steve is clearly made from cardboard, wood, thumbtacks and a little bit of Arduino-gear. But still, Steve hesitates.

Sorting Steve is the low-tech robot embodiment of the hesitation that all of us see, think about and mostly experience every day of our lives. When presented with increasingly confusing blocks to sort in the yellow or red cabinet, Steve starts to freak out the only way he knows how: by moving his little arms. While Steve doesn’t look human or even like a mammal, you can’t help feel sorry for the poor sorter.

Made for the course Artificial Creatures.
